Careers in Genetics: Technical/Medical Writer

Technical Writers use their technical expertise to clearly communicate complex scientific or medical ideas. Whereas science writers write for the general public, technical writers write for specialized audiences, producing publications such as instruction manuals or textbooks. These professionals typically work for a technical communications firm, a specific research company, a contract company that writes science papers for scientists, or freelance.
