ASHG Meeting Attendee entering the Exhibit HallASHG is committed to providing access and an outstanding experience to all attendees and speakers. If you require assisted listening devices, a sign language interpreter, or anything not listed below to participate, please contact us in advance of the meeting by emailing meetings@ashg.org with your specific request, using the phrase “ADA Accommodations for ASHG 2024” in the subject line. Advance notice must be provided by October 1 to allow time to explore accommodations, especially for attendees who may require sign language services.

Children 18 and under may receive a complimentary badge at the registration counter in the Colorado Convention Center. Children under age 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult at all times.
Family Room / Lactation Room 607
(additional lactation room near room 102)
To give parents & children a place to relax during the meeting. Attendees may not use this room for babysitting purposes.
Equipped with soft chairs, accessible electrical outlets, a water cooler, and a refrigerator.
Prayer/Meditation Room 101 Includes chairs and a directional sign.
Quiet / Sensory Room Near 102 A quiet place to take a break. This room is not intended for phone calls or meetings.

Motorized Scooters for Rent

Motorized scooters will be available to rent for ASHG 2024. More information on how to reserve them coming soon.

Accommodations

These services do not need to be requested and are available to all attendees.

  • Reserved front row seating (for mobility, visual, auditory, or cognitive needs).
  • Open captions for concurrent scientific sessions.
    • Captions will be available at the top of each room’s main screen. Dedicated seating areas will be set aside near the front of the room. Attendees can also access captions using their personal devices. Instructions will be available during the meeting.
  • Wide walkways for wheelchair/scooter use.
  • All restrooms in the Colorado Convention Center are accessible and compliant with ADA standards.
  • Service animal information
    • Trained and certified guide dogs or service animals for guests with accessibility needs are permitted and may relieve themselves outdoors, in the area outside of A Atrium (14th & California entrance) that has artificial turf. Please come prepared with disposable bags and a water dish.

  • Complimentary registration for personal care assistants.

Accessible Parking

Designated handicapped parking is available on all three levels of the parking garage, handicapped placard or license plate is required. All accessible parking is on a first-come, first-served basis and requires payment at the automated pay stations. Please arrive early to ensure adequate parking and accommodations. Dietary Restrictions

Meals are not included in the price of registration. Only add-on events for an additional cost and the open receptions will include catering at ASHG 2024. ASHG makes every effort to provide gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, vegetarian, & vegan options at these events but our catering partners cannot guarantee their availability and cannot ensure no cross contamination of allergens takes place.
