This professional works closely with organizations or individuals seeking funding and may assist them through the entire proposal submission process. Program Officers also provide decision makers with analyses and recommendations to ensure that specific grant initiatives are promoting research that aligns with the organization’s goals. Program Officers most often work in government agencies or for non-profit institutions.
