Dear ASHG 2021 Attendees:
On behalf of the Program Committee, I welcome you to the ASHG 2021 Annual Meeting. While we regret that the global pandemic prevented us from holding the conference in Montreal this year, we are excited about the opportunities of holding our second innovative virtual conference.
Today marks Poster Engagement Day, an opportunity for attendees to engage with almost 2,000 poster presenters as well as each other throughout the day. We recognize that finding time to view posters may be challenging and therefore have organized your options into more digestible formats. This is a time to explore the virtual poster floor and talk directly with presenters on their latest findings with no interruptions or competing sessions. Posters will be available on-demand for up to 90 days after the meeting is over.
We are excited to use multiple engaging platforms throughout the rest of the conference, including live chats and virtual video conversations hosted directly in the meeting platform, inspiration lounges through Zoom, lightning talks, and receptions through Remo. ASHG staff members will be around to welcome and help you when you arrive.
It is not a small task to put a conference of this magnitude together. I would like to thank my fellow Program Committee members and ASHG staff for their tireless efforts to organize all sessions and tracks. Additionally, I would like to thank all the industry partners for participating in our event. Lastly, I would like to thank you, the conference participants, for your contributions which are the foundation of this event.
