Where to Eat: Local Favorites Near the Convention Center
The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center is located in the Seaport District, one of the city’s fastest-growing neighborhoods and a hub for dining and entertainment. Just steps away, you’ll find a variety of standout restaurants.
The Legal Harborside is a three-floor seafood destination, offering traditional New England dishes on the first floor and sushi with harbor views on the rooftop. Yankee Lobster Co. is a laid-back local favorite known for its lobster rolls, chowder, and fried clams. For something more vibrant, Lolita, located in Fort Point, delivers edgy Mexican cuisine and creative cocktails in a lively, atmospheric setting.
Museum Highlights

For those interested in art and culture, Boston’s museums are not to be missed. The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is housed in a Venetian-style palace with a year-round blooming courtyard and art displayed in the founder’s original layout. The Harvard Art Museums, located near Harvard Square, features work by Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso, and more. Many college students qualify for free admission through the University Membership Program—just show your student ID.
Things to Do in Your Free Time
Beyond museums and restaurants, Boston offers unique experiences for any interest. The Duck Boat Tour is a fun and informative way to see the city, ending with a splash into the Charles River. If your schedule aligns, catching a Red Sox game at Fenway Park is a memorable way to spend an evening.
