The official scientific publication of ASHG is the American Journal of Human Genetics. This highly regarded peer-reviewed publication is the third most widely read genetics publication. Among all biomedical journals that publish only non-review articles, ASHG ranks fifth in popularity.

SNP-IT Newsletter

Medical School Curriculum Guidelines

Suggested Medical School Core Curriculum has been developed and approved by The American Society of Human Genetics and the Association of Professors of Human and Medical Genetics to provide guidance to deans and curriculum committees regarding medical genetics knowledge, skills, and behaviors that all current medical students will need during their careers as physicians. This Core Curriculum is a work in progress and will be revised as necessary to reflect changes that occur in our understanding of genetics and its application to medicine.
