We provide graduate and post-graduate training in a single basic/clinical hybrid department at an outstanding regional medical center. Opportunities are available in all areas of clinical genetics and in a broad selection of basic and medical genetics research disciplines. The first year of graduate training is provided jointly by several related departments with a joint admissions process. Basic and Clinical Faculty perform NIH-supported research, teach in the Medical School and Graduate Programs, participate in the care of patients with a wide variety of genetic disorders, and provide service to the Medical and Genetics communities. Located among the wooded and mountainous surroundings of rapidly-growing Portland, our lifestyles and our science are equally exciting.
