The Genetics and Molecular Biology graduate program at Emory University offers exceptional doctoral training for the Ph.D. or M.D., Ph.D. in the 21st Century. Post-doctoral training is administered by the Department of Human Genetics, listed elsewhere. Although the training is broad and interdisciplinary, students tend to focus on one of several main areas that are the specialty of our 48 faculty members. These areas include: human genetics, prokaryotic genetics, gene regulation, immunogenetics, developmental genetics, genetics epidemiology, cancer genetics, or mechanisms of recombination and repair. To provide continuing education and excitement, seminars, journal clubs, and research meetings are carried out on a weekly basis. We provide a yearly stipend, current $21,500, and tuition for all students. Graduating students are easily placed in competitive and exciting laboratories. Emory Univerity is located in a beautiful, wooded suburb just outside of Atlanta. Please visit us on the web at http://www.biomed.emory.edu/program_sites/gmb
