The UConn Diagnostic Genetic Sciences Program was the first bacalaureate degree program in cytogenetics in the country and remains the largest. We also administer post-baccalaureate certificate programs in cytogenetics and molecular diagnostics for students possessing a bachelors degree in biology or a related field. Our curriculum prepares students to work as cytogenetic and molecular technologists in clinical, research and industry settings.
