Climate

New Orleans has a subtropical climate with pleasant year-round temperatures. Temperatures range from the mid-40 degrees Fahrenheit in winter to more than 90 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer. Rainfall is common in New Orleans, with a monthly average of about five inches of precipitation. In October, the average high is 79 degrees Fahrenheit and average low is 59 degrees Fahrenheit, with approximately 72% sunshine and 2.7 inches of rainfall.
