Instructions for Plenary and Platform Abstract Presentations

IMPORTANT:

•  All presentations must use electronic presentation format.  Presentations can be submitted in advance at http://presentationmanagement.com/ASHG (see instructions below) or at the meeting by visiting the Speaker Ready Room 242 in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in advance of your presentation.

•  All presentation files (i.e., PowerPoint) must be loaded on to the central computer system to assure their availability for your talk.

•  Please come to the Speaker Ready Room AT LEAST 4 hours before your talk.  To avoid last-minute problems, we recommend that you load your presentation 24 hours in advance of your presentation time.

•  Each plenary presentation is fifteen minutes in length followed by five minutes for discussion.

•  Each platform presentation is ten minutes in length followed by five minutes for discussion.

•  When presenting data and health information (including photos) all presenters must have informed consent compliant with human subjects and applicable HIPAA regulation.

•  Because session rooms are large, it is critical that you take great care in the design and content of your electronic presentations.  Please read and follow “Guidelines for Preparing and Delivering Electronic Presentations.”
