Minority Travel Awards

ASHG Minority Travel Awards Available

The FASEB Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC) Program (funded by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences, National Institutes of Health) in partnership with The American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) is offering travel awards to promote the entry of underrepresented minority scientists into the mainstream of the basic science community and to encourage the participation of young scientists at the ASHG 2006 Annual Meeting.  Successful applicants will be reimbursed up to $1450 in meeting-related travel expenses plus the meeting registration fee.  The travel award recipients will be selected based on need and the quality of scientific abstracts.

NOTE:  All travel award recipients must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents (green card) of the U.S., and must reside within the U.S. or U.S. territories.
