Did you ever wonder what really happens in study section review meetings and how applications are discussed? In this workshop, attendees will have the chance to observe past and present NIH study section members, along with NIH scientific review administrators, enact "mock discussions" to replicate the typical dynamics of discussions at study section review meetings. The NIH streamlining process will also be demonstrated. The workshop will include presentation of several common mistakes applicants make and some suggestions about how to avoid those pitfalls.
