  Speaker Ready/Hospitality Room - Room 151G

Speakers are required to view and download their presentations (if they have not done so in advance of the meeting) in Room 151G of the Salt Palace Convention Center. IT and AV technicians, computers, LCD projectors and screens will be provided. Hours are as follows:

Tuesday, Oct. 25 2:0 0PM -5:00 PM
Wednesday, Oct. 26    7:00 AM -8:00 PM
Thursday, Oct. 27 7:00 AM -5:00 PM
Friday, Oct. 28 7:00 AM -6:00 PM
Saturday, Oct. 29 7:00 AM -3:30 PM

Speakers must check in at the Speaker Ready/Hospitality Room at least 4 hours (and preferably 24 hours) before their scheduled presentation. This will allow time to prepare, rehearse, and finalize your presentation before submitting it. The computers in the Speaker Ready/Hospitality Room will be configured with hardware and software exactly like the computer in the meeting rooms. It is imperative that you review your presentation especially if it contains video files, or if it was created on a Macintosh computer.

Once you are comfortable that your presentation is complete, inform the technician that your presentation is ready to be uploaded to the central server. Confirm the date, time, and room for your session. Be sure to check out of the Speaker Ready/Hospitality Room before leaving.

To access your file(s) on the server for subsequent viewing/edits, you must provide appropriate I.D. (i.e., driver's license) to access/checkout the file. When completed, inform the technician of any changes so the file can be uploaded to the server and the old version removed.

Presenters should check in at their session room with the audio-visual technicians about one-half hour before the scheduled start of the session.

All session rooms are equipped with computers and LCD data projectors for computer-generated platform presentations. Overhead projectors and 35mm slide projectors will not be provided. Dual projection is not available for presentations in platform sessions. Presenters are not required to bring their laptop to the session room.

For other important guidelines, please access the ASHG annual meeting Web site at http://www.ashg.org, click on annual meeting information, then on guidelines for platform presentations.
