EDUCATION GRANTS: Invited Session Sponsorship

Dear Colleague:

The American Society of Human Genetics gives government entities, exhibiting companies, and other organizations the opportunity to support invited sessions at the ASHG annual meeting with education grants. Each session may be sponsored by only one grantor. The cost of sponsorship is $5,000 per session, with the exception of the Distinguished Speakers' Symposium: Realizing the Promise of the Human Genome Project, with speakers Allan Bradley, Patrick O. Brown, and Leena Peltonen. The Distinguished Speakers’ Symposium may be sponsored for $10,000.

The sponsor’s name and logo will be featured on a special page in the Program Guide, on signage in the registration area and at the entrance to the session room, and on a slide shown at the beginning of the sponsored session. Sponsorship information will also be included on CDs that accompany Abstracts Volumes distributed to all meeting registrants. In addition, a hyperlink will be provided from the session listing on the Society’s Web site to the Web site of the grantor, and each grantor will receive one complimentary diskette containing the names and addresses of all preregistered attendees.

A list of scientific sessions available for sponsorship is provided for your review. Click the session numbers to access the session summaries, including names of participants. I hope you will give serious consideration to this opportunity to increase your visibility at the ASHG Annual Meeting.

Please print and complete the Sponsor Application form and mail or fax as instructed to submit your application for sponsorship. Note that the deadline for receipt of your application, along with a copy of your organization’s logo, is Monday, August 8.
