#ASHG15 Tweetup

Tuesday, October 6, 7:00-9:00 pm

Pratt Street Ale House (Cantina Bar), 206 W. Pratt Street, Baltimore

Ever wonder what all of those people hashtagging #ASHG15 look like in person? Here's your chance to find out. Join the members of the ASHG communications committee and any other ASHG attendees who use social media like Twitter -- or anyone who wants to learn -- for happy hour and conversation across the street from the convention center.

This event, sponsored by Integrated DNA Technologies, is open to all ASHG attendees, including press and exhibitors. The first 100 people to arrive will receive a complimentary drink ticket.

Opening Poster Session and Reception

Wednesday, October 7, 5:00-7:00 pm

Exhibit Hall, Baltimore Convention Center

New this Year! Celebrate the first full day of sessions, view posters, and visit exhibitor booths over light refreshments. Posters will be grouped by topic area, offering a logical way to find colleagues with similar interests and exchange ideas. This event is open to all ASHG attendees. Each attendee will receive a complimentary drink.

Themed Evening Receptions

Thursday, October 8, 7:00-8:00 pm

Speed Networking: Ballroom Foyer, Level 4, Baltimore Convention Center

Mendel: Charles Street Lobby, Level 1, Baltimore Convention Center

New this Year! Thursday's platform sessions will be followed by two concurrent receptions, each with a different human genetics theme to encourage networking and collaboration. One reception will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Gregor Mendel’s landmark publication on plant hybridization with an exhibit highlighting his life and work. The other will enable “speed networking” interactions with invited concurrent speakers (see the flyer for a list of confirmed attendees).

Attend one or both of these receptions and continue your conversations about the latest research, socialize with your colleagues, and meet presenters. Light refreshments and soft drinks will be provided, and a cash bar will be available. These events are open to scientific registrants only.
