Registration

 

Advance registration is closed. Starting on Saturday at 12:00 pm, you may registration at the San Diego Convention Center (SDCC) Lobby D. Please refer to registration hours below.  We are no longer accepting online registration.

The badges for U.S. attendees were mailed to those who registered by August 29. If you did not receive your badge packet by the time you leave for the meeting, you can go to advance registration Lobby D of the San Diego Convention Center and pick up your badge and material. If you have questions or problems, go the registration help counter.

Registration Payments

Registration payments must be made by credit card (American Express, MasterCard, Discover, or Visa only). Purchase orders and wire transfers are not accepted. Do not fax or mail your registration payment.

 


 

Registration Fees

Registration fees include admission to all scientific sessions (invited, platform, and poster sessions), the Exhibit Hall, the Presidential Address, Plenary Abstract Sessions, Invited Distinguished Speakers Symposium, Exhibitor Educational Workshops, and much more! Fees do not include admission to the separate ticketed events. Children under the age of 18 will be admitted (at no cost) if accompanied by a paying scientific registrant.

 

All fees are shown in U.S. dollars.

Single day registrations are not available.

1ASHG Member registrants are eligible for the discounted rate if their dues are in good standing (meaning dues are currently paid). To save on meeting registration fees, join ASHG or renew your membership today

 

*Student/Trainee (Members and Non-members) may register at the discounted rates. Postdoctoral fellows and students working toward a degree in human genetics (or an allied field) qualify for the rate. Trainees will be asked to input certain information to meet the criteria. Trainees who register on site should bring a student ID card or a letter signed by their department head to certify current status.

3 Students/Trainees (Members and Non-members) may register at this rate for a one-day registration pass. You can register in this category for Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Multiple one-day registrations are not permitted. Poster authors and invited speakers are not eligible for one day registration.

 


 

Optional Ticketed Events (additional fees apply)

ASHG will offer ticketed workshops at various times during the meeting. Click HERE to view the workshop dates, times, and descriptions. There will be a $25.00 fee for each workshop. Seating is limited, so please register well in advance of the early deadline of Friday, August 29.  Any registration questions should be directed to ashgmeetings@ashg.org.

Letters of Invitation (for Visa purposes)

Letters of Invitation will be provided only to individuals who have submitted an abstract or registered for the ASHG Annual Meeting. You will be given a link within your confirmation of your abstract and/or registration to generate your letter of invitation. You will need this letter when applying for a visa. All attendees are urged to apply for a visa as soon as possible. Waiting until you receive your abstract confirmation (which is not available until August) will delay your visa process and may result in your visa being denied. Request Registration Receipt and Letter of Invitation

To retrieve a copy of your registration receipt or a copy of your letter of invitation, please enter the last name and email in your registration. If a match is found, an email will be sent.

Note: The look-up tool will be available in late April.

 


 

Receipt, Badge, and Event Tickets

A registration receipt, registration badge, and event tickets (if purchased) will be mailed to early registrants in the U.S. (i.e., those who registered on or before August 29, 2014). For those registering and/or purchasing tickets after August 29, badges and tickets will be available for pick-up on site. Badges must be worn at all times while in the San Diego Convention Center.  If you forget to wear your badge, you will be asked to purchase a replacement badge for $10.

 


 

Registration Transfers

Meeting registrations cannot be transferred to another person. If the registrant cannot attend the ASHG 2014 Annual Meeting in person for any reason, his/her registration must be cancelled, and the replacement person must register for the meeting separately.

 


 

Registration Cancellation/Refunds

Deadline: September 12, 2014

 

To cancel a meeting registration and receive a refund, registrants must send a written request to the meeting registrar at ashgmeetings@ashg.org by the deadline on September 12, 2014. Registrants must return all meeting materials (e.g., badge, tickets) before cancellations can be processed. No refunds will be issued for requests received after the cancellation deadline. Please note that all cancellations are subject to a non-refundable processing fee of $75.

 


 

Registration Materials/Meeting Program

The ASHG 2014 Annual Meeting Program will be available in September. The Program will not be mailed in advance. All registered scientific attendees can receive their printed copy in San Diego starting Saturday, October 18. The ASHG website will serve as the official e-publication of the meeting.

 


 

Guest Registration (Available on-site only)

Guest registration will be available on site only for family members of registered attendees. The fee is $125 per guest and includes admission to the Welcoming/Networking Reception and Exhibit Hall only. The guest registration does not include access to scientific sessions. In order to register as a guest, you must be accompanied by a paying scientific registrant. Please go to the guest badge counter (located in the registration area) on site at the meeting during registration hours. Guests will be issued colored badges different from those of scientific registrants.  

 


 

Replacement Badges

A $10 fee will be charged to registrants for each replacement badge requested (i.e., to replace badges that are left at home or in hotel rooms, lost or forgotten, etc.).

 


 

Registrant Search/Find a Colleague

Attendees can use the registrant search program to check the registration status of fellow colleagues. For privacy reasons, we do not display email addresses or contact information. If your colleague is presenting in a platform talk or poster, that information will be displayed in the search results, after you click on the registration number (not available until August).
