This session for undergraduate faculty is organized by the ASHG Undergraduate

Subcommittee and covers human genetics content and pedagogies. The goal is to
encourage effective teaching of human genetics so that it contributes to improving the
genetic literacy of students.
High School Workshop for Boston-Area Students and Teachers

The High School Workshop is organized by the ASHG Information and Education

Committee. Local Boston students and teachers will interact with genetics ­researchers
and learn about the field of human genetics.

This workshop is organized and presented by Aleksandar Milosavljevic and ­Matthew
Roth, Baylor College of Medicine. Participants will learn how to analyze the ­epigenomic
profiles in the Human Epigenome Atlas and epigenomic profiles ­obtained from their
own samples.
Workshop requirements: Registrants must bring a laptop to this session to participate.
Laptops should have full battery power and must have wireless capability.
