Because ASHG is one of the member societies of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB), attendees of the ASHG 61st Annual Meeting/12th International Congress of Human Genetics can take advantage of the career and employment services provided by FASEB.


Job seekers: It is FREE to post your resume and candidate qualifications online starting on September 30, 2011. You can also search employer job listings, send/receive electronic messages and request interviews with employers.


Employers: It is FREE to post employment opportunities on the ASHG/FASEB Career site starting on September 30, 2011. The posting will be available for a period of 14 days from posting date. Your online posting will be automatically listed on the onsite employment poster boards at the meeting. If you wish to have access to the resume bank to review/search job seekers profiles and send/receive electronic messages using the ASHG/FASEB Career site, the fee is $100 for 30 days.

Visit the ASHG/FASEB Career Center at the Exhibit Hall

Career coaches from FASEB will be available to:

(i) Critique your resume, CV or cover letter
(ii) Give career guidance
(iii) Go over interviewing tips

Job opportunities listed on Employment Poster Boards

Employers: Postings listed in advance of the meeting online at the ASHG/FASEB Career site will automatically be posted on the Employment Poster Boards. Employers who do not wish to post opportunities online in advance should give a copy of their job descriptions on an 8.5”X11” paper to the ASHG/FASEB Career Center staff on-site to post on the Employment Poster Boards. Alternatively, you can e-mail your job description to Self-posting on the Employment Poster Boards is not allowed.

On-site Career Center hours are as follows:

Wednesday, October 12 10:30 am – 4:30 pm
Thursday, October 13 10:30 am – 4:30 pm
Friday, October 14 10:30 am – 4:30 pm
