Program Guide, Searchable CD, At-a-Glance
Concurrent Platform Session Reference and
Meeting Overview The Program Guide, often called “The Small Book” (containing general meeting information, highlights and logistics; meeting schedule; scientific presentations; exhibitor information; and speaker and author index), will be mailed before
the meeting to early registrants (i.e., those who register online on or before September 19, 2008) residing in the USA. A CD will be enclosed with the Program Guide and will contain searchable text of all abstracts, an individualized meeting planner
program, meeting schedule, exhibitor information, scientific session listings, and other meeting details and logistics.
Early registrants (i.e., those who register online on or before September 19) residing outside the USA will be mailed the searchable CD only, unless they choose to receive the Program Guide.
For those who register after the early registration deadline
of September 19, the Program Guide and CD will be
available at the meeting.
Abstracts Volume The printed Abstracts
Volume (the Large Book) will be distributed
to all registrants at the meeting. It will
contain text of all abstracts, meeting
schedule, speaker and author index, permuted
title index, keyword index, and exhibitor
advertisements.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This will be the last year the printed
abstract volume (the large book) will be
available. After 2008, the abstracts will
only be available online.
How to Cite an Abstract

2008 abstracts online: Simpson RS, Barnes P,
Disruption of the microRNA pathway [Abstract
program number xxxx]. Presented at the
annual meeting of The American Society of
Human Genetics, Date, Location (e.g.,
November XX, 2008, Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania). Available after September 25,
2008 at the following URL: http://www.ashg.org/2008meeting/abstracts/fulltext/*
*Abstracts from previous ASHG annual
meetings are available by clicking on the
year of the meeting at
Past Meetings Archive. In your abstract
citation, use the appropriate URL for the
meeting in which an abstract was presented.
