Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credits

2008 ASHG Meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians and Ph.D. medical geneticists. FASEB and The American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) take responsibility for the content, quality and scientific integrity of this CME activity. FASEB designates this educational activity for up to 28.75 credit hours in category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. The online application request will be available on our Web site beginning November 11, 2008. There is a $45 application fee payable by credit card upon submission. You must provide your registration/badge number to complete the online application. You may also pick-up forms to track your hours in the ASHG Society and Membership Office, Room 203B, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
 

2007 ASHG Meeting in San Diego, California

FASEB designated this educational activity for up to 25.25 credit hours in category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. To request CME credits for 2007, access the online application. There is a $45 application fee, payable by credit card upon submission. Continuing Education Units

CEU Credits: Only for California-Licensed Clinical and Molecular Laboratory Directors (PACE)

Continuing education units up to 24.0 will be available for California-Licensed Clinical and Molecular Laboratory Directors through the Professional Acknowledgment for Continuing Education (PACE) program. All education sessions, social issues sessions, invited speaker sessions, concurrent/plenary platform sessions, the Friday evening session, the Saturday plenary session and the Distinguished Speakers’ Symposium have been approved for credit. Important: The poster sessions, presidential address, and awards sessions have not been approved for credit.
 

2008 Procedures: There will be a non-refundable $35 fee payable during the registration process. We will email a copy of the CEU tracking form and package in early October. You may also pick-up your CEU packet on-site in the ASHG Society Office, Room 203B of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
 

CEU Credits: Only for Genetic Counselors
 

ASHG will apply for approval of 3.4 Category 1 CEUs (34.25 clock hours) for the 58th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Human Genetics from the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC). NSGC is approved as an authorized provider of continuing education and training by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).

2008 Procedures: Registrants MUST apply for credits via the online submission system after the meeting. The submission site will open on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 9:00AM (EST) and will close on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 5:00 PM (EST). No submissions will be taken after this deadline. There will be a non-refundable $35 fee payable during the registration process or you may pay the fee during the online application process. You will need your registration I.D. in order to successfully complete the CEU application. We will email a copy of the CEU tracking form in early October. For your convenience, tracking forms will also be available in the ASHG Society Office, Room 203B of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
