Ancillary & Satellite Requests
The deadline to schedule an ancillary function was Wednesday, June 4. We extended the deadline a few extra days but now the site is closed! We are currently reviewing your request and will send confirmations of your room
assignment in July.
Additional requests for meeting space will need to be arranged directly with the hotel (after June 30). All functions must follow the ASHG guidelines. Please review before
requesting space from the hotel. Your contact at the headquarter hotel (The Philadelphia Marriott Hotel) is Peter Horch. He can be reached via email at peter.horch@marriott.com. You will need to provide the following
information to the hotel:
Meeting date
Start/End time
Expected Attendance
Set-Up Requirements (e.g., roundtables)
AV needs
Food & Beverage Needs
Once you have been assigned a room, please forward the following information to paulinem@ashg.org and we will list your event on the ASHG Website (NOTE: functions that did not meet the deadline will not make it in the printed
Program).

ASHG does not assist in any way with the planning, funding, or management of ancillary events. Organizers will be responsible for all arrangements and costs associated with their events including room rental, audio-visual equipment, food and beverage etc. Please

Program/Web Listings
To support ancillary and
satellite events, the Society will include
the following information in the meeting
program and on the ASHG website: Title,
date/time, location/room, contact email or
organizations website URL. This information
must be provided by the June 4, 2008
deadline. No other promotion of ancillary
and satellite events is available through
the Society.
Assignment of Space
All ancillary and satellite
events must be cleared through the ASHG
Office. Space is being held at the
headquarter hotel only (The Philadelphia
Marriott Hotel). Only official ASHG events
will be scheduled in the Convention Center.
Space is available on a first-come,
first-served basis. There will be a
rental charge by the hotel for the use of
meeting space.
